Cancellation & Refund Policy
Introduction
At Sundarban Trip Planner, operated by Mr. Chandan Mandal, we strive to maintain a fair, transparent, and hassle-free booking process. This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms applicable to all tour bookings made through our website, WhatsApp, phone call, email, or direct office visit. By confirming a booking with us, you agree to the terms stated below.
Cancellation by Guests
- Once a booking is confirmed with the required advance payment, it is generally non-refundable.
- Advance payments are used to reserve accommodation, boats, forest permits, transportation, and other travel arrangements.
- If you are unable to travel on the scheduled date, you may request to reschedule your tour, subject to availability and approval by the management.
- Cancellations made one day before the departure date or on the day of the tour will be treated as a No-Show, and no refund or credit will be applicable.
Cancellation by Sundarban Trip Planner
In rare situations where a tour cannot be operated due to circumstances beyond our control, such as:
- Cyclones or severe weather conditions
- Floods or natural disasters
- Government restrictions or Forest Department regulations
- Strikes or other unavoidable events
the tour will be rescheduled to a future available date. While we make every effort to avoid disruptions, refunds are generally not provided under such circumstances.
Advance Payment Policy
- A minimum advance payment of ₹1,000 per person is required to confirm your booking.
- The advance amount is non-refundable once the booking has been confirmed.
- If your tour is successfully rescheduled with our approval, the advance payment will be adjusted against the new travel date.
No-Show Policy
- Guests must report to the designated pickup point (such as Canning, Godkhali, or the agreed reporting location) at the scheduled reporting time.
- Failure to arrive on time without prior notice will be considered a No-Show.
- In such cases, the booking will be cancelled automatically, and no refund or credit will be issued.
Force Majeure
Sundarban tours are subject to weather conditions and government regulations. Events beyond our reasonable control may include:
- Cyclones
- Heavy rainfall or flooding
- River navigation restrictions
- Government or Forest Department orders
- Other unforeseen emergencies
If any of these events affect your tour, we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule your booking. Refunds will generally not be available in such cases.
Refund Processing
- As a general policy, confirmed bookings are non-refundable.
- In exceptional circumstances where a refund is approved by the management, it will be processed within 7–10 working days.
- Approved refunds will be credited through the same payment method used at the time of booking.
