Introduction
Welcome to Sundarban Trip Planner, operated by Mr. Chandan Mandal. These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and travel services offered by us. By confirming your booking or participating in any of our Sundarban tour packages, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. Our commitment is to provide every guest with a safe, transparent, comfortable, and memorable travel experience.
Eligibility to Book
- Guests must be 18 years or older to make a booking.
- Travelers below 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- Every guest must carry a valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence, or PAN Card).
- Foreign nationals must carry a valid Passport and Visa for obtaining forest entry permits.
Booking Policy
- Advance booking is recommended at least one day before the travel date.
- Last-minute bookings are subject to the availability of accommodation and boat seats.
- Bookings can be made through:
- Office Visit
- Phone Call
- Email (if applicable)
- A booking confirmation and payment receipt/invoice will be provided digitally or in printed form.
Payment Terms
- An advance payment of ₹1,000 per person is required to confirm the booking.
- The remaining balance must be paid before the tour begins.
- We accept payments via:
- Cash
- UPI
- Bank Transfer
- A valid receipt or invoice will be issued for every payment received.
Tour Package Inclusions
Our Sundarban tour packages generally include:
- Comfortable accommodation as per the selected package.
- Freshly prepared vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.
- Seasonal Bengali delicacies (subject to availability).
- Boat safari with a government-approved boat and licensed guide.
- Forest entry permits and necessary permissions.
- Sightseeing as mentioned in the selected itinerary.
- Cultural programs such as Baul Folk Music or local cultural performances (available on selected packages).
Tour Package Exclusions
The following expenses are not included unless specifically mentioned:
- Personal expenses, shopping, snacks, beverages, laundry, or telephone charges.
- Camera fees or charges imposed by the Forest Department.
- Alcoholic beverages.
- Medical expenses or emergency evacuation.
- Pickup and drop from Kolkata (unless included in the package).
- Any additional services not specifically mentioned under "Package Inclusions."
Safety & Guest Conduct
To ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment:
- Guests must strictly follow all Forest Department rules and regulations.
- Carrying plastic items, consuming alcohol, using drugs, littering, or playing loud music inside the forest area is strictly prohibited.
- Guests must follow the instructions of the tour manager, boat crew, and licensed guides at all times.
- Misbehavior, harassment, or any unlawful activity may result in immediate removal from the tour without any refund.
Wildlife Sightings & Travel Conditions
- Sightings of Royal Bengal Tigers, crocodiles, spotted deer, birds, dolphins, or other wildlife cannot be guaranteed.
- Wildlife sightings depend entirely on natural conditions and luck.
- Tour schedules may change due to weather conditions, tidal movements, government regulations, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Sundarban Trip Planner shall not be held responsible for delays, route changes, cancellations, or inconvenience caused by factors beyond our control.
Force Majeure
In the event of cyclones, floods, extreme weather, government restrictions, natural disasters, or any unavoidable circumstances:
- The tour may be postponed, rescheduled, or modified.
- Refunds may not be applicable.
- Guests may be offered an alternative travel date, subject to availability and company policy.
Guest Responsibilities
Guests are requested to:
- Carry valid government-issued ID proof throughout the tour.
- Arrive at the designated pickup point (Canning, Godkhali, or other agreed location) on time.
- Carry sufficient cash, as ATM facilities are limited after Gosaba.
- Take responsibility for their personal belongings, valuables, cameras, and luggage.
- Respect the local community, wildlife, and the fragile ecosystem of the Sundarbans.
Health & Medical Information
- Guests should inform us in advance about any serious medical conditions or special requirements.
- Basic first-aid assistance is available during the tour.
- Sundarban Trip Planner is not responsible for medical emergencies arising from pre-existing health conditions or undisclosed illnesses.
Photography & Media Usage
- Photos and videos captured by our team during the tour may be used for promotional, marketing, or social media purposes.
- Guests who do not wish to appear in promotional materials should notify us in writing before the tour begins.
- Guests are welcome to share their travel experiences on social media and tag Sundarban Trip Planner.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellation requests must be made in writing via WhatsApp or email.
- Cancellation charges may apply depending on the date of cancellation.
- Forest permit fees and government charges, once processed, are non-refundable.
- Refunds, if applicable, will be processed according to the company's refund policy.
Changes to Itinerary
- The company reserves the right to modify the itinerary, accommodation, boat, or sightseeing schedule due to weather, tidal conditions, operational requirements, or safety concerns.
- Such changes will be made in the best interest of guest safety and comfort.
